Join us at the HUB Youth Volleyball Clinic hosted by RVC. Saturday, June 18 from 10:00am-12:00pm

This clinic will be led by volleyball great, Allen Allen, and other coaches from Renovators Volleyball Club.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from top coaches from the region.

Clinic participants will be split into age/skill appropriate groups.  The clinic will teach the skills and techniques necessary to play volleyball through fun drills, exercises and games that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving.

This clinic is for boys and girls ages 10-13.

Registration Deadline is June 16.

 

About Allen Allen:

Allen was a four-year member of the University of Hawaii men’s volleyball program from 1986-89. While a player at Hawaii the Warriors compiled a 70-28 overall record and a 53-23 record in conference. Allen was named a first team All-American in 1988 and 1989 and a second team All-American selection in 1987. He earned All-California Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (CIVA) honorable mention as a freshman, and All-Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (WIVA) first-team as a sophomore, junior and senior. He still holds the career records for solo blocks (112), is second in kill attempts (3,151) and digs (739) and third in kills (1,483).

Allen went on to play professionally in the FIVB Beach Volleyball Series, the European Professional Volleyball League and the Bud-Light Professional Volleyball League. Allen officially retired from professional competition in 1998. Allen’s coaching career started in 1993 when he was an assistant coach with his alma mater for one year. Two years later in 1995, Allen became the head coach for the Samoan men’s and women’s National Team. He went on to become the head women’s volleyball coach at Alliant University in San Diego, Calif., before founding the Allen Allen Club Volleyball in 2004. Allen helmed Alliant for three seasons (2003-2005).

This refund policy will be enforced in order to ensure the continued integrity of our clinics. Full Refunds will be given if the clinic is cancelled.

The Nation’s #1 Volleyball Skills coach and Olympic Gold Medalist, Pat Powers will conduct a volleyball camp in Spokane, WA. I have found it useful if you show up in relatively decent shape and most important, don’t compare yourself to others in the clinic. If you feel intimidated, the learning process shuts down. I do an excellent job of matching each player with drills and competition suited for the appropriate levels of play.

There will be young players in attendance as well as adults. I will group you by age and skill level an hour into the clinic — I do it for safety reasons and to make you feel more comfortable. The coaching staff will be watching each individual execute the skills during “Survivor”… this is where we enforce the teaching cycle.

Please remember it is not important who you play against or who you play with, all that matters is how you are performing each skill during “Survivor.”

Players will want to bring: Lunch, Snacks, Beverages an extra T-shirt, knee pads, water and other personal items you may need.
