Renovator Volleyball Practices @ HUB Sports Center

Renovators Volleyball Practices

4:00-6:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm

Renovators Volleyball Club (RVC) took shape in the summer of 2015 when Club Director Rob White developed a common-bond relationship with Catalyst VBC Director Shaune Montgomery.

White had a new direction for the club that could vault it to the next level and Montgomery wanted to be involved with it.  So, the two joined forces and Catalyst VBC became Renovators Volleyball Club (RVC).

RVC continues with the same core values and teaching principles as Catalyst did, but there is even more now that Rob White is at the helm of this truly progressive program.

For the 2015-2016 Club Volleyball Season RVC will have 16U, 15U, 14U, 12U and developmental 11U teams.

PlayUnplugged SV Brag Badge College
Jun 28 @ 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
PlayUnplugged SV Brag Badge College @ HUB Sports Center

Play Unplugged is happening Summer 2018 for elementary students. HUB Sports Center is hosting a Brag Badge College where student can come and earn multiple badges at one time and location.  Join us between 3:00-6:00pm on June 28, July 24, and/or August 22 at the HUB Sports Center.

Play Unplugged is all about encouraging kids to put down their electronics so they can get out and play. It all begins with providing the right kind of motivation. The kind that get’s kids playing and active without them even knowing it. This motivation is based on the Brag Badge. Kids earn a Brag Badge for every activity they complete. Each Brag Badge has points they can collect and then turn in for real life rewards as defined by their parents. Our goal is to help kids re-engage with the real world, help parents plan a fun and exciting summer and give much needed visibility to local businesses.

What is a Brag Badge? A Brag Badge is a plastic tag, somewhat resembling a “military dog tag” that represents a Play Unplugged challenge or activity. On the front of the Brag Badge you’ll find one of our Braggers representing specific activity. On the back of the badge, you’ll find information used for tracking the badge.

Each badge has been sequentially numbered and contains the title of the activity as well as a point allocation we call Brags. The more difficult the activity associated to the badge, the higher the Brags. These Brags can then be tracked and used in drawings, contests, etc. Special attention to every detail has been considered to ensure each Brag Badge maintains a highly collectible feel and desirability.

Head to www.weplayunplugged.com for more information about the program.

Pat Powers Volleyball Camp
Aug 11 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Olympic Gold Medalist, Pat Powers will conduct a volleyball camp in Spokane, WA. This camp will be held at Hub Sports Center on Saturday and Sunday, Aug 11 – Aug 12, 2018. The volleyball camp will run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday. At the end of the first day, I will talk to all junior players and parents about high school volleyball, club volleyball, college volleyball and volleyball scholarships.

Location: Hub Sports Center – Spokane, WA
When: Saturday and Sunday, Aug 11 – Aug 12, 2018
Start Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday
End Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday
Registration Fee: $130

Get ready to have a great time! You will learn a lot about volleyball in a short period of time! I have found it useful if you show up in relatively decent shape and most important, don’t compare yourself to others in the clinic. If you feel intimidated or bored, the learning process shuts down. I do an excellent job of matching each player with drills and competition suited for the appropriate levels of play.

There will be young players in attendance as well as adults. I will group you by age and skill level an hour into the clinic — I do it for safety reasons and to make you feel more comfortable. The coaching staff will be watching each individual execute the skills during “Survivor”… this is where we enforce the teaching cycle.

Please remember it is not important who you play against or who you play with, all that matters is how you are performing each skill during “Survivor.”

You will want to bring: an extra T-shirt, kneepads, water and other personal items you may need.

* * * * IMPORTANT * * * *

If you are under 18 years old and received a ride to the clinic, please inform the staff when your parents plan to pick you up. Until a responsible party arrives, we would ask that you remain inside the facility. Thank-you for your cooperation in this matter.

Parents are more than welcome to spend all day with us. The best time to watch is the last hour of each day as that is when we will be playing Survivor.

PlayUnplugged SV Brag Badge College
Aug 22 @ 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
